About Me:
I am a Professor of Economics at the University of South Carolina in Columbia. I graduated with a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1987 with fields in International Economics and Econometrics and graduated from the University of Delaware in 1982, magna cum laude, with a B.S. in Economics (and a minor in Business Administration). From 1990-91, I served a one-year appointment as Visiting Scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
My primary research interests are behavioral macroeconomics, patterns of economic growth and development, institutions, exchange rates, financial crises, and applied time series econometrics.
